James Bond: Skyfall screening! (at AMC Loews Kips Bay 15)
As a long-time fan, I enjoyed the film’s references and nostalgic nods. The action was great. It wasn’t as grandly-plotted as many films, including CR & QoS… But what disappointed a bit was the backstory points revealed regarding Bond’s life. Without spoiling it, I will say that the mystery and vaguely-dark and unclarified past was part of the charm. As someone who generally gets off on character development and roots, I think 007 is an instance where it is unnecessary and beneficial to not delve too deep.
Let me know what you think :)
