Looks pretty good… did anyone see it?
Devestated to learn that Brad McCrimmon, my neighbor, family friend and personal hero as a kid, was among those killed in the KHL crash :( It’s a terrible tragedy for those fortunate enough to know him- he was a great guy, well-respected in the league, and leaves behind a wife and two children.
I was fortunate enough to be the recipient of many gifts of memorabilia as a kid: from his framed rookie card to his 1,000th goal stick to his spare Whalers gloves. He was a generous guy who I looked up to and considered very highly.

Dave Matthews Band - Lie In Our Graves
This song, for me, is entirely nostalgic and entirely beautiful. While 99 times out of 100 I will elect to listen to DMB in a live capacity, this particular studio song takes me back to childhood in CT… it’s about being carefree, about living life and it feels like summer. Something about it also feels like home, particularly the jam.
It’s the perfect song of the day as I head out to catch a train to New Haven, then New Hartford at the Farmington River to spend the day with an old friend… and finally onto Falls Village, CT for a camping and fun outdoors tonight > tomorrow.
Happy 4th!
